Planning, planning and more planning.

Cold Kirkheaton

It’s the half-term holiday. Even though it’s not been a long half-term and it’s been cut even shorter due to the snowy/icy weather cancelling school on a few days, it seems like it’s dragged a little. I need this holiday.

I have a few things to do, apart from sleep. Namely, plan a Bible study on the second coming of Christ, and write a sermon on part of the first chapter of Colossians for what we will call “Preaching Club”. It’s all fun. It will take time, but it’s time that I couldn’t spend any more wisely. And at some point, I need to work out what I’m teaching at school in the next half-term.

I also think it might be a good idea to have some kind of blogging plan, rather than blog irregularly and randomly. I need to give this some thought, as always.

Long & Tough vs Enjoyable & Expensive

Pretty much tired (Project Thursday #5)

It’s been a long, tough week. Mainly due to school. 99% due to school. School isn’t fun.

But in other, more enjoyable news, I am currently planning a study on the return of Jesus. And tomorrow we have a mortgage appointment, just to find out exactly what we should be able to borrow, once we actually find a house we want to buy… or can afford to buy…

Someone call the Pansy Police

I have just planted several pansies, that I received as a gift from my dad, in a large plant pot.

Honestly, I fear for the little ones’ lives.

I will not take a photo of them. It is embarassing. I will never be a gardener.

Birthday fun

i-am-30-32

My birthday weekend was fun. Beth took me out for a posh curry on Saturday evening, and we found a bunch of our friends coincidentally at the same table that we were going to eat at. During the day my dad and step-mum came over for lunch, and on Sunday (my birthday) my mum, step-dad and sister came over for lunch.

On the materialistic side of things, I powered up my new netbook and installed eeebuntu on it, pretty much as soon as I woke up on the Sunday. Also received a generous amount of money, some of which will fund netbook purchase, some of which will purchase new clothes? New something? I wanted to get a Flip Ultra HD with it. But that’ll have to wait.

I am 30 now. Hurrah.

Ha!

I am 30 on Sunday… Ha!

But for now, as it’s a Friday evening, I’m going to run around a park with a bunch of youth.

Wimbledon

Wimbledon starts today!

I am currently “planning” at home, but kind of watching the review of last year’s Wimbledon at the same time… I am half tempted to stay at home this afternoon and watch the first matches. Of course, I won’t do that…

Instead I have Year 6 classes. They’re all about ready to leave school, which makes for interesting music lessons in terms of rudeness, arrogance and total lack of any motivation to work. It will be a fun afternoon.
